School wide Homework policies and Grade category percentages:
 
 Social Studies/History Department Homework Policies

1) Make up tests
No more than 1 student in hallway at a time from your class.  Do not give the exact same test as gave to the whole class
Tests must be made up the day a student returns and within 5 school days or it is a zero

2) Weighted Grading

 Tests and Quizzes……………………………….……………………35-40%

  Major Writing and Authentic Assessments (Papers, Essays, DBQs, Projects)…..30-35%

   Homework…………………………………………………………….15-20%

   Classwork (notes, Participation, Openings/Closings, Discussions/Simulations…..10-15%

3)  Late Work Expectations
     Accept one day late for 50% off.   If you are going over the HW in class – no late homework accepted
    Number of assignments per drop days (if long assignments, take that into consideration):
    CP: 1-2    A: 2-3   Honors/AP: 3-

4) District Homework Policies

    One day absent – get 2 calendar days to make up the work
    If work is not handed in – put a ‘0’ (can make a note if absent etc.)
