Great Lives from History
Contains biographies of important men and women in all areas of achievement. Each article is divided into three parts: Early Life provides facts about the individual's upbringing and a pronunciation of the subject's name (if unusual); Life's Work provides a straightforward account of the period during which the individual's most significant achievements were made; Significance provides an overview of the individual's place in history. Each essay is supplemented by an annotated bibliography and contains lists of related articles in the companion publication, Great Events from History.
Great Events From History
Each article begins with ready-reference listings, including a summary of the event and its significance, its locale, a categorization of the event, and a listing of the major figures in the event.
