PRINCIPLES OF ENGINEERING (476)
Grades: 10, 11, 12 Year Credits: 5
Prerequisite: Introduction to Engineering Design
Principles of Engineering helps students understand the field of engineering technology. Exploring various technology systems and manufacturing processes help students learn how engineers use math, science, and technology in an engineering problem-solving process to benefit people.

INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING DESIGN (477)
Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12 Year Credits: 5
Prerequisite: Algebra 2 (may be taken concurrently)
Introduction to Engineering Design applies problem-solving skills using a design development process. Models of product solutions are created, analyzed, and communicated using solid modeling computer design software.

DIGITAL ELECTRONICS (478)
Grades: 10, 11, 12 Year Credits: 5
Prerequisites: Geometry and Introduction to Engineering Design

Digital Electronics applies logic that encompasses electronic circuits and devices. Computer simulation software is used to design and test digital circuitry prior to the actual construction of circuits and devices.

ENGINEERING DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT (479)
Grades: 11, 12 Year Credits: 5
Prerequisite: Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Principles of Engineering, and Introduction to Engineering Design
Engineering Design and Development allows students to work in teams to research, design, and construct a solution to an open-ended engineering problem. Students apply principles developed in the four preceding courses.

COMPUTER INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING (480)
Grades: 11, 12 Year Credits: 5
Prerequisite: Principles of Engineering and Introduction to Engineering Design

Computer Integrated Manufacturing applies principles of robotics and automation. The course builds on computer solid modeling skills developed in the preceding courses. Students use CNC equipment to produce actual models of their 3-dimensional designs.

CAD ARCHITECTURE (482)
Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12 Year Credits: 5
Prerequisite: None

CAD Architecture covers the specialized application of architectural design and drawing techniques and procedures, including floor plans, elevations, and pictorial drawings. Scale model building is encouraged.
